This beer was originally released for our first anniversary party — but it’s finally available in bottles for your own revelry at home.
This Berliner Weisse isn’t like any other in Minnesota: it’s fermented with five strains of brettanomyces, three strains of lactobacillus, and coaxed lovingly into barrels imbued with the the big, bold flavors of whiskey. Kentucky Road chilled out in those barrels for a year, and was then bottle conditioned to ensure it gave off a tart, crisp, and dry finish.
This beer is everything an anniversary beer should be — thoroughly complex with notes of vanilla, pomme fruit, and a supple, oaky tannins finish with a provocative kiss of whiskey that will leave you lovestruck.
